24/10/21 – Invitation to a Virtual Event: Who is the smart energy consumer of the future?

VIRTUAL EVENT INVITATION

Who is the smart energy consumer of the future?

October 26th, 11:30am

Smart meters are already helping people to better understand and manage their energy use in the home. APPF Members Smart Energy GB have an upcoming panel event which will explore future benefits that connected technologies, enabled by smart meters, can bring to our lives including health monitoring, automated peer-to-peer energy trading and artificial intelligence home management.

Smart Energy GB are proud to be hosting this event where they’ll be presenting the findings of their report, The future smart energy consumer, which was commissioned from Foresight Factory earlier this year. They’ll be joined by Collin Griffiths, Policy Manager for Citizens Advice, Dr Rowanne Fleck, Lead User Researcher for Energy Systems Catapult, Mike Hewitt, Chief Technology Officer for the Smart Data Communications Company (DCC) and Louise Rogerson, Chief Operating Officer for Howz.

The panel will also examine the opportunities for decarbonised and decentralised energy networks, and discuss the changes needed to make the digital energy system of the future a reality – helping to benefit all consumers, including those struggling with fuel poverty. There will be a Q&A session with the panel.
